Some new Das Racist has surfaced in form of a music video. The music video is for their song Girl, in which the music video has a GIRL in it. The main charcter is a long haired guy with a jean jacket what looks like stalking the chick, while cut scenes of him dancing in a circle. It's hilarity with good music.

The Weeknd Trilogy (Promo)

So we're only two weeks away from the November 13th release of The Trilogy, and out comes another promo. The Weeknd released today a small clip showing a long foggy road at night, with a woman running away in a long red dress. The unreleased track Till Dawn, is playing in the background for 40 seconds.

The Weeknd released Enemy to the world. The song is set in a somber yet sexual tone of someone's sexual adventures. It dives into the art of being sheltered with someone, while still being able to get connected physically and not emotionally. Basically keeping a relationship pure physical, and just that. As interviews go, many of them don't have much depth for the most part. But Google recently interviewed Kendrick Lamar talking to him about the start of his career and how much the album was already thought up in his head.

Starting from the birth of how Top Dawg and Kendrick's relationship started, to how what was Kendrick's first time in the studio with Dr. Dre was. Kendrick Lamar gets dissed by Shyne

 

 

 

A day after Kendrick Lamar released his debut album good kid, mAAd city on Monday Oct. 22nd, rapper turned rabbi had some words to tweet.

 

It's a sad day to hear one of my favorite 90's rapper dissing the up and coming westcoast sensation.

Shyne Po tweeted earlier today that he loves Kenrdick, but thought the album was trash.

He then later went  on tweeting comparing it to 50 cent's album Get Rich or Die Tryin', and repeating how the album is trash.

 



 

And then compared it to The Chronic and Doggystyle.

After replying to some of the tweet responses from the people on twitter, he went on and pretty much lost it calling out all "Kendrick Lamar dick riders" in which fellow TDE memeber Schoolboy Q responded with some words for the young rabbi:

Well after he tweeted up about Kendrick he posted a picture of himself next to Bughatti just cause. He kept restatiting how this whole ordeal wasn't a diss, but take it as you will.

The first week projected numbers are in for good kid, mAAd city.

According to Hits Daily Double, the projected numbers would be 200,000+ copies sold. This number would leave Kendrick at number 2. Taking the first place spot is predicted to be Taylor Swift with her album Red, which is projected to sell over 1+million copies

Regardless of first week sales, and the numbers, Kendrick Lamar's debut album can still viewed as a classic and masterpiece. It's still a strong number for a first album, and especially comjng from hip hop/rap genre which don't make top 3 so often.

With a couple weeks left until The Trilogy is released on Nov 13th, The Weeknd release a teaser trailer that includes a small clip of a new track.

The song Valerie is one of the three tracks that are including from the trilogy that were later added on solely for the trilogy.

Kendrick Lamar Gets Homecoming at Compton Best Buy

The release finally arrived for the kid from city of Compton Califronia. Known as hometown of NWA, and Dr. Dre. But now, Kendrick Lamar is on the list of known names from the city of Compton.

On Monday October 22nd, the Best Buy in Compton,CA held a small meet and greet for the release of Kendrick Lamar's good kid, mAAD city. The fact that it's Kendrick's hometown made it even more special and memorable. People began lining up from 5am to wait until 10am when the wristbands were getting handed out. The lines wrapped around the store, and extra security was called. The line was held for the 500 people to buy the album and get a wristbands to come back at 8pm when the signing would happen.

But, for the first 100 people they would get a special red wristband where a small concert was being held inside of the store.

The crowd consisted of 100 people, where Ali and Kendrick would be performing for the small crowd.

Before he performed, the city representative of Compton awarded him with a certificate for his success and all he has done to represent the city.

He performed Swimming Pools, The Recipe, She Needs Me, Hiiipower, and Hol' up.

There was also an unexpected stop from his fellow TDE member Ab-Soul, and also randomly J. Cole stopped by to buy the album and support the movement.

 The whole ordeal didn't go without small scuffles here there, but overall, the King came back to the city where saw him grow up, the city that shaped to what we see today. I expect big things for him. This album is just a start for the artist that would soon bring the west, and hip hop back on the map and would something much more different, and would also how people listen to music.

Kendrick Lamar Takes Over Downtown Los Angeles

The Compton kid Kendrick Lamar late sunday night performed for a free concert on top of a double decker bus in the front of the Staples Center for a group of hundred hip hop fans.

The whole thing started from a tweet that he sent out on Sunday afternoon, where he would do a free concert after the Laker pre-season game against the Sacramento. The big news for LA was how this would be the first game that Dwight Howard would actually play, but Kendrick took the spotlight.

The show was set to start after the game was over, but the show started around 9pm, during the Laker was still going on. People were swarming the strteets trying to get a glimpse of Kenrdick with his red TDE sweater. He performed Swimming Pools twice, The Recipe, ADHD, Hiiipower, then was cut short while preforming P&P when they shut the whole concert down.

The whole thing then got a bit chaotic after being cut short by the police, which then the police start to disperse the crowd with police helicopter and a couple officers with riot gear. At the end of it all, it was quite peaceful, just a few mishaps and altercations.

In a recent interview after finishing up two sold out shows at Club Nokia, Kendrick Lamar talks to La Leakers explains the real meaning behind the acronym from his album title. He explains that "mAAd" stands for both: my Angry Adolecent divide and my Angels on Angel dust. He explains the story of how his first time smoking weed that he accidently smoked one that was laced with angel dust, which is the whole reason why he doesn't smoke. Video after the jump.

This time it's the music video to Wicked Games, his recent single from the long awaited Trilogy album due out on November 13. The music video is set black and white as his style usually is, and also involves a beautiful model dancing around. Abel is credited as the director like the previous music video, Rolling Stone.

After wondering what he would give to the public, many people were trying to piece together any clues or hints of what he might be releasing, (or doing). Then a picture circulated around on a list of VEVO music videos to be released today, and sure enough, The Weeknd's name pops up. 

Then to be more certain that he would be releasing the video tonight, he tweeted the schedule time it would come out.
