The release finally arrived for the kid from city of Compton Califronia. Known as hometown of NWA, and Dr. Dre. But now, Kendrick Lamar is on the list of known names from the city of Compton.

On Monday October 22nd, the Best Buy in Compton,CA held a small meet and greet for the release of Kendrick Lamar's
good kid, mAAD city. The fact that it's Kendrick's hometown made it even more special and memorable. People began lining up from 5am to wait until 10am when the wristbands were getting handed out. The lines wrapped around the store, and extra security was called. The line was held for the
500 people to buy the album and get a wristbands to come back at 8pm when the signing would happen.

But, for the first
100 people they would get a special red wristband where a small concert was being held inside of the store.

The crowd consisted of
100 people, where Ali and Kendrick would be performing for the small crowd.

Before he performed, the city representative of Compton awarded him with a certificate for his success and all he has done to represent the city.

He performed Swimming Pools, The Recipe, She Needs Me, Hiiipower, and Hol' up.

There was also an unexpected stop from his fellow TDE member Ab-Soul, and also randomly J. Cole stopped by to buy the album and support the movement.

The whole ordeal didn't go without small scuffles here there, but overall, the King came back to the city where saw him grow up, the city that shaped to what we see today. I expect big things for him. This album is just a start for the artist that would soon bring the west, and hip hop back on the map and would something much more different, and would also how people listen to music.
