The Weeknd Sales 90+K on First Week Sales.

The numbers for the first week album sales have come out and have put The Weeknd's first studio album, Trilogy, in 4th place with 90,970 albums sold.

Despite the fact of placing 4th behind One Direction, Taylor Swift, and the soundtrack for Twilight, the numbers are good first his debut album. Just shows you how much people came out to support an album that has been out for about 1 year and a half. All  the support from the fans for The Weeknd has been shown in album sales.

If you haven't, you can still purchase the Trilogy below:

The Weeknd-Trilogy Album (Letter to Abel)

When House of Balloons was first released on the 21st of March, 2011, no one would have expected for it to blow up this much. It was an experimental sound, something everybody wasn't too familiar with. All of the excitement came in part from Drake, when he quoted Abel through his twitter one of the songs off of the mixtape. This then sparked the interest of many people.

Now it's November 13th 2012, and as I sit hear watching everyone buy the album, and watching people place "XO" after their twitter names shows you just how much The Weeknd has impacted the music world.

This time it's just not about his music; it's more about the person he was last year, to who is today, to who he has become one year later, how much he's going to change, and to how the music is going to change and if it would stay the same. Supporting a true artist and watching him evolve creates a bigger pride, and seeing how far Abel can and will take this. I wish him good luck, and hopefully he would stay true to his music, and especially himself and what he stood for from the very beginning.

-xo until we overdose...

The Weeknd-Enemy

credit: Classicalex

The Toronto native, The Weeknd, released a new track late Thursday as promised by his tweet earlier this week. His always significant day, Thursday, was the set of his new song. The Weeknd released Enemy to the world. The song is set in a somber yet sexual tone of someone's sexual adventures. It dives into the art of being sheltered with someone, while still being able to get connected physically and not emotionally. Basically keeping a relationship pure physical, and just that. Listen to the new track below.
