So for as long as The Weeknd released the now infamous mixtape, House of Balloons, he has slowly been gaining more and more attention along the way. Fans worldwide have now been familiarized with the name The Weeknd as more than just Saturday and Sunday. It seems more than expected that he would eventually sign to a major label. News came out today that The Weeknd and his XO bunch have just signed to Universal Republic who falls under some big names like; Drake, Kid Cudi, DJ Khaled, and Lil Wayne to name a few.
