There has been a boom of young and talented rappers coming from the Westcoast recently, it has been a big movement that has been bringing us a variety of sounds and styles.
There is an underground rap group who consists of four young rappers;
Maccassi Kilo, MaxtheGoon AKA Hennessy Venom, CyPress, and
Tru King. Each one has their own style and their own rap flow, but when you put them together they form
Owl Face Mafia, and they are coming from the Northern part of California. From Oakland to Sacramento, they have come together to create something different than most other new rap groups.
You have
Macassi Kilo, who comes from the city of Oakland. He brings some range to the group since he has the ability to rap about whatever. Just give him a beat, and he'll demolish it with some witty lines. As the co-creator of
Owl Face Mafia, Maccassi created the
Owl Face Mafia alongside with
MaxtheGoon, who is the next member of the group. Max is basically the guy who gets everyone together, keeps everything on check and raps from time to time if needed.
CyPress is one of the youngest ones in the group, and has the talent of one of the best freestylers. Coming from Sacramento,CA, and when he combines with
Macassi they both create some of the sickest duos rap has ever heard.
TRu King is a producer/rapper who gets his beat influences from much of the Chopper movement. Adding many samples into his music is what makes
Tru King a name to look out for.
Assembled over 2 years ago, they have created something much more than music; they have created a family of their own. The closeness the members are with each other makes the music one of the best rap out now.
